If
God receives glory in the church, how should that shape the way we
live as His people today?, from a Preterist and biblical perspective,
would be: We should live as the visible
reflection of God's glory, knowing that the church is not a future
hope, but a present reality established in Christ. Ephesians 3:21 declares that God is
glorified through the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations,
meaning our lives today are part of that eternal glory. Since we are His body (Ephesians
1:22–23), how we love, serve, and walk in truth either magnifies or
diminishes that glory in the eyes of others. The church is not a placeholder, it is
God's eternal dwelling, the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2–3), so
our conduct should reflect the holiness and mission of that eternal
covenant. We should live in unity, love, and
faithfulness, because our lives are a testimony to His wisdom
(Ephesians 3:10), not only before men but even before the spiritual
realm. In short: God receives glory when His
people live in covenant obedience, walk in truth, and reflect Christ
to the world around them.
