In
My Father's House Are Many Mansions
2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I
go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to
Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you
know, and the way you know." 5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord,
we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No
one comes to the Father except through Me.

Scripture:
John 14:2-6, Revelation 21:2, John 2:15-16 (NKJV)
John
14:2-6
We
need to know what and where is "My Father's house". Some
claim that "My Father's house" refers to heaven but what
do the scriptures say? The phrase "My Father's house" is
in the New Testament twice (John 2:16; 14:2).
John
14:2
In My Father's house are many mansions; if
it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for
you.
John 2:15-16
15 When He
had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with
the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers' money and
overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, "Take
these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of
merchandise!"
Scripture tells us "My
Father's house" was and is the temple. It was the old temple
that was destroyed in 70AD and then The body of Christ became the
new temple which is the father's house. In the Body of Christ there
are many rooms.
Revelation 21:2 And I saw the
holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Verse
2 is the place that Jesus went and prepared for us (His Church,
Kingdom, Body of Christ the New New Jerusalem).
Do you
know that the majority of Christians believe they will inherit a
physical Mansion in Heaven?
Let's review this
Verse
2 In My Fathers House are many mansions...
Verse 3 I will
come again and receive you to Myself... (so this mansion has to be
where He makes us one IN Him)
Verse 19 A little while
longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me.
Because I live, you will live also. (This means we will not die and
go to Hades)
Verse 22 " ...Lord how is it that You
will manifest Yourself to us...
Verse 23 " ...We
will come to him and make Our abode [home] with him.
What
many miss is the word "mansions" in verse 2 and the word
"abode" in verse 23 are the same word.
So, if
He did not receive us to Himself, we are not in the body of Christ
and none of this has happened.
Jesus is a life giving
spirit, so the abode or mansion is the life (temple) of the
believer.
We are the temple of God Now! The Body of
Christ, the church, are the many rooms for which Jesus speaks
of.
Gods people would became the new temple where the
holy spirit would indwell and replace the old temple. In the new
covenant God's presence would indwell the new temple, which is
inside his believers. That's why were told "that where I am,
you may be also." We indwell IN Him. The body of Christ is the
father's house, the kingdom, church and New Jerusalem. Now that is a
Mansion! Our Mansion is IN Christ that's why in Ephesians 2:5 it
says even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive
together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)
When
we are saved we are seated in heavenly places with Christ
spiritually while we are on this earth. I believe it gives us the
spiritual eyes not only to see Him but to see the heavenly things
now on this earth. And when our physical bodies die our spirit/soul
continues to live in Christ in Heaven. Yes in heaven, we will be
able to perceive spiritually things as though it were physical. But
if you're looking for some physical Kingdom you're missing the whole
point of being a Christian, being IN HIM.
