Age - Christian Age Never Ends
poster Age - Christian Age Never Ends

By Dan Maines Christian Age Never Ends The Age we live in now, never Ends, It's the Christian Age. Some call it the Church Age. Neither are in the Bible. That's not surprising because the phrase "Second Coming" or "rapture" is not in the bible either. In fact Mosaic and Messianic isn't in the Bible as well. The phrase "Old Covenant" is not even in the Bible, that's man's identification. On the other hand "New Covenant" is in the KJV Bible four times. Once in the Old Testament and three times in the New Testament (1x Jeremiah 31:31 and 3x in Hebrews). The NKJV" shows "New Covenant" 10x Not including titles (Jeremiah 31:31, Matthew 26:28, Mark 14:24, Luke 22:20, 1 Corinthians 11:25, 2 Corinthians 3:6, Hebrews 8:8, Hebrews 8:13, Hebrews 9:15, Hebrews 12:24). I like the NASB. Not including titles, "New Covenant" is in the NASB 8x (Jeremiah 31:31, Luke 22:20, 1 Corinthians 11:25, 2 Corinthians 3:6, Hebrews 8:8, Hebrews 8:13, Hebrews 9:15, Hebrews 12:24). Why the big discrepancy? Except for Jeremiah and Hebrews, The KJV uses "New testament" for "New Covenant"

Just to make things clear, there are only three time periods in the Bible, Patriarch Age, Mosaic Age and Christian Age. Patriarch is in the Bible four times. Patriarchs were Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, etc. This time period was from creation until the time of Moses. The Mosaic Age was named for the prophet Moses and was from the time of Moses until the time of Jesus. The Christian Age was named in honor of Jesus the Christ. The word Christ is a word that is used as a title referring to Jesus and is not a name. The word Christ means "anointed". The Christian age began in the time of Jesus and will never end. Those that teach, it will be in effect until the end of the world are false teachers. And I will show why. First I want to point out that Patriarch Age, Mosaic Age and Christian Age is not even in the Bible, there names given by man.

Now that we know what the Christian age means let's describe Church Age. There both the same thing. Every person who repents of his or her sin, and turns to Jesus in faith, becomes part of the church. The church is a group of people who love and serve God, who have been forgiven of their sins and granted eternal life. This group seeks to serve, love, glorify, and honor God out of gratitude for all He has done for them. We Christians make up the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 4:12; Colossians 1:18, 24) and He is the he Head of the Church (Ephesians 4:15, 23; Colossians 1:18; 2:19) We are the church that exists in the ‘church age’ forevermore.

The New Testament writers wrote before the Mosaic Covenant ended in 70 AD, It's described as the two ages “this age” (Mosaic) and “the age to come” (Messianic, Christian, Kingdom of God). After the destruction of the Temple in AD 70, believers gained the fullness of the Kingdom of God.

The Christian Age has no end (Isaiah 9:7, Daniel 2:44, Luke 1:33, Ephesians 3:20-21, Hebrews 7:17, Revelation 11:15) The Church will never be destroyed Daniel 7:13 The Gospel will never pass away. (Matthew 24:35 Revelation 5:13; 14:6) The world will never End (Genesis 8:21-22, Psalms 72:17 78:69, 89:36-37, 93:1, 96:10, 104:5, 119:90, 148:4-6, Ecclesiastes 1:4, Isaiah 45:17, Ephesians 3:21) The New Covenant is eternal (Hebrews 13:20) Time will never End.

Let's be clear about the “time of the end” or “end of the age” or “last days” all, pertains to the Old Covenant not the Messianic Age (New Covenant or Christian Age).

The Bible speaks of the “time of the end” NOT “the end of time.” The NASB incorrectly translates Daniel 12:4 “end of time” instead of “time of the end”
