Yes,
absolutely. Revelation 21:22 says, "I saw no temple in it, for
the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple." That's a
direct statement that the physical temple, central to the Old
Covenant system, is no longer needed. Under the Old Covenant, the
temple was where God's presence dwelled and sacrifices were offered.
But in the New Covenant, God and the Lamb themselves are the temple. This confirms what Hebrews 8:13 said:
"When He said, 'A new covenant,' He has made the first obsolete.
But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is about to
disappear." The destruction of the physical temple in AD 70
marked the visible end of that old system. Revelation 21:22 is proof
that the true temple is now spiritual, and the Old Covenant system
has been fully done away with.
